HUNDREDS of fashion lovers huddled round the runway to witness one of the Sunshine Coast’s most successful years for fashion during the Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival Awards and Hall of fame and Awards night.
The Pavilion at Palmer Coolum Resort hosted the inaugural awards as part of the seventh annual Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival.
The night featured an array of innovative and cutting-edge local designers on the catwalk including standout labels such as Hive, Blossom Betty and Lamb and Lamb to name a few.
Guests were also treated to the first chance to buy the outfits straight off the catwalk prior to their retail release.
Seven Sunshine Coast personality Rosanna Natoli was MC for the evening and wore TaPa from India.
Winners were: Swimwear – Kat Hogg of Hive; Indigenous – Leearna Saunders of Blossom Betty; Ethical – Alice Jones and Louise Visser of Sinerji; Ready To Wear – Adrian Norris and Edwina Robinson of Aje; Resort – Leann Lamb of Lamb and Lamb tied with Ben Nothling and Natalie Miller of Holster; and Hall of Fame – Holster.
The afternoon program featured an afternoon tea hosted by the Australian Cervical Cancer Foundation with online shopping guru Kathy Sheeran, of Shopping Confessions.
The Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival founder and director Jacinta Rishmond extended her deepest gratitude to everyone who made this year a huge success.
“Our guests, our designers, our supportive sponsors and partners, our volunteers, our models, our hair and make-up teams, our MC Rosanna Natoli and especially my core team Lisa, Tash, Courtnee, Melissa and Vickii – without their dedication, professionalism and ongoing support this event would not be what it is today and would not continue to grow. The Sunshine Coast Fashion Festival really does belong to every one of you,” she said.
“Thank you again for joining us in 2014 and I look forward to seeing you all next year.”
